Forty FC Stars players were named to ECNL All-Conference & ECNL All-Regional League teams earlier this month in recognition of their play throughout the 2022/23 season. 

FC Stars Blue and White girls players comprised the ECNL All-New England First & Second Teams as well as the ECNL Regional All-New England team. Over on the boys side, our male players were selected to the ECNL All-Northeast First & Second Teams along with the ECNL Regional All-Northeast team. 

The entire list of FC Stars players named to ECNL All-Conference & All-Regional League teams can be found in the graphics below. Only U-15 through U-19 players were eligible to be chosen for postseason awards. 

A total of 11 U-15 players were recognized by the ECNL for their work this past season. Among the award winners include three players from our ‘08 ECNL Boys side that qualified for the ECNL National Playoffs in June and Brenna Gregorski, who earlier this month was named to the ECNL Girls Conference Cup. Sophia Tzouganatos & Savannah Parker helped lead their ‘08 ECNL RL Blue side to the playoffs last season and received recognition for their efforts. 

The U-16 age group also included 11 players who received accolades from the conference. Included in this group of players is recent Columbia University commit Avery Sarzana & Maddie Recupero, whose sisters are also a part of FC Stars. Three players from our ‘07 ECNL RL Boys team landed a spot on the All-Regional League team as a result of their performances for the ECNL Regional League Northeast Championship finalists. 

Ten players from our U-17 pool earned All-Conference recognition. Continental Tire ECNL Boys National Selection Game participant Will Slayton was one of two boys players chosen. Center back Shea Boyle was also amongst those who were named to the team, a Class of 2024 player committed to Boston College. Three players from our ‘06 Blue & White RL teams, whose memorable semifinal face-off at the ECNL Regional League Northeast Championship was decided in PK’s, were named to the All-Regional team.

Rounding out the selections are eight of our U-19 players, all of whom are committed to playing college soccer. Caroline Hood (Miami), Ayoub Lajhar (UConn), and Marissa Sage (UMass Lowell) will begin their college careers playing Division I soccer this fall, while Avery Galante (South Carolina) and Caitlin Mara (North Carolina) are with us at FC Stars for one more year. Maggie Carroll (St. Anselm), Sofia Manne (St. Lawrence) & Wendy Jacobi (Assumption) were 3 of 12 players named to the ECNL Regional All-New England team

According to the ECNL, honorees were selected by conference awards committees with technical representatives from every club in each of the ECNL Boys’ 12 conferences and ECNL Girls’ 10 conferences. The number of players selected was based upon the size of the respective conference.

Players that have been selected to their respective All-Conference First Team were eligible for selection to the ECNL Boys & Girls All-American teams, which were also announced this month.
