ECNL Phoenix Preview: Ten Girls Teams Ready to Show Out in the Desert
Ten FC Stars ECNL Girls teams are flying off to Phoenix this weekend for the premier west-coast ECNL showcase of the season.
All of our U13-U17 ECNL Blue & White teams will make the journey to the Pacific Time Zone for three games against talented opposition from around the country. Over 300 college scouts are expected to be in attendance.
ECNL Phoenix will be held April 5 - 7 in both Phoenix, & Scottsdale, Arizona. U15-U17 games will primarily be held at the Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix while U12-U14 games will primarily be held at the Scottsdale Sports Complex. Teams will play one game per day.
Heading into the weekend, our ECNL Girls teams have continued their proven track record of success on the field. All of our U13-U19 ECNL Blue teams are currently sitting in a Champions League postseason position, while our 2007, 2008, & 2010 ECNL White teams are right within striking distance of a postseason spot with plenty of games left to play.
Our ten attending teams are tied for the most any club is sending to the event (alongside Sting Dallas), showcasing FC Stars’ club-wide commitment to playing in competitive environments in front of large swaths of college coaches. For the full list of teams at ECNL Phoenix, click here.
ECNL Phoenix will likely be the largest hub of college coaches for any tournament across the country this spring season. FC Stars currently has 97 college commitments for the Class of 2024 & 2025, and many of our players use these showcases as an opportunity to impress scouts. ECNL Phoenix will be the second ECNL National Girls Showcase of the season for FC Stars and the fourth ECNL girls showcase our girls teams have attended. Our U16-U19 ECNL Blue & White teams kicked off 2024 at ECNL Florida. Meanwhile, our U16-U19 ECNL Regional Blue, White, & Sky Blue spread out their participation at both ECNL RL Florida (Winter) and ECNL RL Florida (Spring).
