ECNL FL & ECNL RL FL Girls Recap
Our first trip of the year to the Sunshine State has reached full time, with our twelve traveling teams combining for a 15-11-10 record.
ECNL Florida served as the maiden ECNL showcase for our U16-U19 ECNL Blue & White girls teams this season, and our players took full advantage of the opportunity. While matching up against unfamiliar opponents throughout the weekend, plenty of people watched on.
Over 450 Division I, II, & III programs were present at the showcase, making it one of the largest events in the world for players looking to play at the next level.
The event was highlighted by '05/06 ECNL Blue defender Shea Boyle's inclusion in the Continental Tire National Selection Game. Boyle, a class of 2024 graduate who will be moving onto Boston College next fall, was 1 of 36 players chosen to play in the game and suited up for Team West.

Over in nearby Sanford, Florida, all six of our U17 & U19 ECNL Regional Girls teams took part in their lone ECNL Showcase of the season - ECNL RL Florida. The largest Regional League showcase of the season hosted over 175 teams, and the action did not disappoint.
Two FC Stars teams went undefeated at the showcase: our '05/06 ECNL RL Blue side and our '07 ECNL RL White team. ECNL RL Florida also served as the national debut for our newest ECNL Regional Platform: ECNL RL Sky Blue. Each side went 1-2-0 while taking home lessons they'll use for the rest of the season.
Saturday night saw two FC Stars players face off on opposite sides of the Continental Tire Regional League Selection Game. Solimar Rivera, a striker on '05/06 ECNL RL Blue, represented Team East while Jill Hodgson, a midfielder for'05/06 ECNL RL White, battled hard for Team West. Both players have yet to publicly announce their college soccer plans.

Fc Stars is due to return to Florida for three more showcases in the coming months. The first weekend in February will see our U17 & U19 ECNL & ECNL RL sides fly down for ECNL Florida & ECNL RL Florida. One month later, our U16 ECNL RL Sky Blue Side will be one of 129 teams at ECNL RL Florida (Spring) in early March.
