The final whistle has sounded on our second trip to Florida in 2024 as our five boys concluded their time at ECNL Florida & ECNL RL Florida. 

Our U16-U19 ECNL Boys teams competed in their first ECNL showcase of the season at ECNL Florida. The highest-attended showcase of the season was full of action throughout the weekend, with 230 teams competing and even more college scouts watching on. 

Fresh off last season’s trip to the Champions League Division at the ECNL National playoffs, our ‘08 ECNL Boys side achieved an undefeated weekend, although all three games finished as a draw.

FC Stars Results at ECNL Florida

After hosting the first-ever ENCL Boys Regional League showcase in 2023, Sanford, Florida was once again host to the 2024-edition of ECNL RL Florida. Our U17 & U19 ECNL RL Boys teams made the trek down to the Sunshine State for their lone ECNL RL showcase of the season.  

While our ‘05/06 ECNL RL Boys team suffered a setback in their first game, they bounced back brilliantly to claim victories in their remaining contests. A stoppage-time winner vs Space Coast United RL gave them their first positive result of the weekend, and a 3-1 victory over Parkland SC RL doubled their win tally. 

ECNL RL Florida also served as a memorable weekend for FC Stars midfielder Kaden Yoder. In addition to being part of the back-to-back wins for side ‘05/06 ECNL RL side, Kaden also took part in the Continental Tire ECNL Regional League Selection Game. The uncommitted Class of 2024 player suited up for Team West, who won the All-Star showdown on Friday night 4-1 over Team East.

FC Stars Results at ECNL RL Florida 

Even though we sent 12 girls teams to the Gator State last month for ECNL FL & ECNL RL FL (Winter), one more Stars team is due to join in on the fun. Our ‘08 ECNL RL Sky Blue side will compete at ECNL RL FL (Spring) hosted in Lakewood Ranch next month.

As for the next ECNL Boys Showcase of the season, we’ll be spending Memorial Day Weekend at ECNL Virginia for the third year in a row. The event will host our U15-U17 teams, ensuring that all of our ECNL Boys teams will attend at least one ECNL Showcase during the 2023-24 season (our U12-U14 ECNL Boys teams competed at ECNL Atlanta in September).
