ECNL Florida and ECNL RL Florida Recap: Girls Teams Combine for 19-11-6 Record
Tuesday marked the end of our time at ECNL Florida and ECNL RL Florida, with our 12 girls teams combining for a 19-11-6 record.
Five teams finished undefeated in Florida - ‘06 ECNL National Blue, ‘04/05 ECNL National White, ‘07 ECNL National White, ‘04/05 ECNL Regional Blue, and our ‘07 ECNL Regional White team. Our ‘06 ECNL National Blue and ‘07 ECNL Regional White sides finished with perfect 3-0-0 records.

Three players took part in ECNL Selection Games. Soraya Ross and Lola Follansbee represented Team West in the Continental Tire ECNL Regional Selection Game held on Friday. The two players were on the winning side of the scoreboard, earning a 3-2 over Team East.
On Sunday, Lydia Leblanc of our ‘04/05 ECNL National Blue team represented Team West in the Continental Tire ECNL National Selection Game. Three goals in the opening 11 minutes powered Team West to a 4-2 win.
Our U16, U17, and U19 Blue and White girls teams competed against strong opposition in front of a large collection of collegiate coaches. ECNL RL Florida is likely to be the most attended ECNL Girls Regional League event in the 2022-23 season with 168 teams registered. Meanwhile, Tuesday served as the last day for the first ECNL Girls National Showcase in Florida. The ECNL hosted 230 teams across the three age groups, while the scheduled March follow-up is currently set to host 81 teams.
FC Stars will be returning to Florida later this month for ECNL Boys showcase events. Our ‘06 and ‘04/05 ECNL National Boys teams will play in Sanford at ECNL Florida. ECNL RL Florida kicks off a day earlier and will host our ‘06 and ‘04/05 ECNL Regional Boys teams.
