ECNL North Carolina witnessed a stellar string of results from FC Stars, with our four attending teams combining for an 11-1-0 record in the final ECNL Showcase of the season.

Our 2007 & 2008 FC Stars ECNL Blue sides each finished with a perfect 3-0-0 record against strong national competition. Both teams, who earlier this spring won the ECNL Girls New England Conference Championship, will look to build upon their impressive seasons later this month at the ECNL Girls National Playoffs.

Our 2008 ECNL White side also finished the weekend 3-0-0 in their final games of the season. Along with strong efforts at ECNL Florida & ECNL Phoenix in front of over 2,000 college coaches, their impressive performances were seen on a national level.

Even though our 2007 ECNL White team was our only side to suffer a loss this weekend, they packed on the goals in their other two matches. The '07's outscored their opponents 10-2 over the three games in Greensboro and were one of the highest-scoring teams who attended the event. Their proficiency will be needed later this month at the ECNL Girls National Playoffs, where they will compete in the North American Cup

ECNL NC served as the final ECNL showcase of the 2023/24 season and reaffirmed club's commitment to competitive matches on a national scale. It was the club's ninth ECNL or ECNL RL showcase of the season across five different states.

These national events put our players in the spotlight while enhancing both individual- and team-goals.  Large waves of college coaches watch from the sidelines to scout our players for the next level.  Meanwhile, playing strong sides from across the country expose our teams to different tactics, play-styles and new opposition.

While the regular season may have come to a close for FC Stars, the rest of June will see the club compete in the postseason through all our Competitive Pathways. The NECSL Championship Weekend kicks things off next weekend. Six of our ECNL Regional Girls teams will spend Father's Day Weekend back in Greensboro at the ECNL Regional - East Playoffs. Lastly, the ECNL Boys & ECNL Girls National Playoffs will then be held at the end of June in San Diego & Seattle, respectively.
