It was a well-spent Memorial Day weekend for our three ECNL Boys teams at ECNL Virginia.
Our U15, U16, & U17 ECNL Boys teams traveled to Richmond for the traditional Memorial Day Weekend ECNL Boys showcase. Over 400 college coaches were in attendance for what was one of the largest showcases of the season.
After capping off a historic regular season, winning the ECNL Boys New England Conference for the first time in club-history, our ‘07 ECNL Boys continued their strong form in Old Dominion. They finished the weekend without a loss while matching up against strong opposition.
FC Stars was represented once again in the ECNL National Selection Game, the annual all-star style event. Jack Fiedler, an undecided Class of 2025 midfielder on our ‘07 ECNL Boys team, suited up for Team East. His side fell in a narrow 2-1 defeat. Speaking before the event, it was clear to Fielder that the opportunity meant more than the final score.
“Before I came to Stars, I had always heard about the Selection Game and the big platform it has,” Fielder said. “I am thankful to be selected to this year's game in Virginia and am super excited to play in it. I am really looking forward to meeting new people during the event.”

The '07's will be seeded in the draw set to be had in a few weeks, while our ‘08’s return to Nationals for the second consecutive season.
This upcoming weekend hosts the last ECNL Showcase of the season so of course we couldn’t miss it. Our U16 & U17 ECNL Blue & White teams will kick off their first of three games on Friday, May 31 at ECNL North Carolina.
