ECNL Florida & ECNL RL Florida Girls Preview: Twelve Teams Set for Winter Showcases
Twelve FC Stars girls teams are headed to Florida this weekend for two of the busiest & most popular girls soccer showcase events of the season.
Our U16, U17, & U19 ECNL Blue & White teams will make their 2024 showcase debut at ECNL Florida (Winter) with over 450 college scouts expected to be in attendance. Meanwhile, our U17 & U19 ECNL Regional Blue, White, and Sky Blue teams are set to show their skills at ECNL RL Florida (Winter) in the highest attended Regional Showcase of the season.
ECNL Florida (Winter) will be the first of three ECNL showcases this season for our ECNL girls teams and will go from Sunday, Jan. 7 to Tuesday, Jan. 9. Each of our teams will play one game per day against talented opposition from around the country. The event will be held in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
ECNL Florida (Winter) is expected to be the second largest ECNL Girls showcase of the season with 230 teams making the trip to Florida. As previously mentioned, over 450 college scouts are expected to be in attendance, making it one of the largest college recruiting opportunities for players all season. FC Stars players have previously spoken of the tremendous exposure benefits these large showcase events have.

Kicking off one day earlier, the Winter ECNL RL Florida showcase will go from Saturday, Jan. 6 to Monday, Jan. 8. Similarly, each of our teams will play in one game per day against unfamiliar opponents. The event marks the first-ever ECNL Regional showcase for our ECNL RL Sky Blue players, coaches, and families.
Even though there will be an expanded five ECNL Regional Girls showcase events this season, the winter showcase in Florida continues to be the most popular annual gathering. Roughly 170 teams nationwide will spend the first weekend of the new year in the Sunshine State, making it the highest attended Regional League event of the season for both teams & college coaches.
