Three FC Stars girls players were invited to play in the 2023 Girls High School All-American Game, continuing a strong lineage of FC Stars players competing in the national event.

2005/06 ECNL Blue teammates Avery Galante, Lana Gibbs, & Caitlin Mara were 3 of 46 players named to the rosters last month. The annual game will feature an East vs. West format and will be played in Charleston, South Carolina. Galante & Mara will represent Team East, while Gibbs will be between the pipes for Team West. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11:00 a.m.

All three players, who are currently seniors in high school, will move onto Power Four schools next fall. Mara will join the 22-time National Champion North Carolina Tar Heels, and Galante will head to the neighboring University of South Carolina. Gibbs plans to take her talents out West at the University of Southern California.

Their selections to the All-American Game add to the strong representation FC Stars has had at the yearly contest since its inception in 2013. Fourteen former FC Stars players have played in the High School All-American Game, including alumnae such as Molly Martin, Kayla Duran, & Elayna Grillakis.

As a result of this year’s game, a total of 17 FC Stars players have been selected to play in the game, the most out of any club in Massachusetts. To see the full list of FC Stars players, please see the graphic below.
