Seventeen former FC Stars players across eight different NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Conferences earned end-of-season awards by their respective conferences.

Players from each of the past six FC Stars graduating classes earned recognition by their conferences, headlined by University of New Hampshire goalkeeper Sally Rainey. Earlier this week, Rainey was named the 2023 American East Goalkeeper of the Year after leading the league in goals against average and conference shutouts. The former FC Stars player was also named to the conference's first team and all-academic team.

Five former FC Stars players from 86 players in the 2023 graduating class were named to their conference all-rookie teams. Elon forward Grace Gelhaus earned a spot on the Coastal Athletic Association All-Rookie team along with a place on the All-Conference Second team. Meanwhile, UMASS Lowell teammates Luka Marceau & Marissa Sage were two of four former alumnae who were named to the American East All-Rookie team.

Four former FC Stars players in their last year of college eligibility certainly made their fifth year count. Anna Bagley capped off a decorated career at VCU late last month by earning her 18th career assist, tied for the fifth most in program history. Her efforts this year on the field & in the classroom earned the FC Stars Class of 2019 graduate a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team & All-Academic Team.

In the last year of the Pac-12's existence, Kayla Duran proved to be a defensive stalwart for USC. The graduate transfer led the Trojans in minutes on the season, playing all 17 games at center back for the nationally ranked powerhouse. The well travelled defender earned a place on the Pac-12 All-Conference First Team.

Over in the Big East, graduate transfer Allie Winstanley spent the final season of her collegiate career at Georgetown University and was named to the Big East All-Conference Third team. The forward from Concord has started every game but one this season for the Hoyas, who find themselves in the Big East Semifinal tonight vs. the University of Connecticut.

Lastly, Alexis Legowski received a spot on a Patriot League All-Conference team for the fifth time in her career. 2023 is her second time on the All-Conference First Team and her first since the 2020 season. Legowski was named to the All-Rookie team in her maiden campaign for the Huskies and to the second team in both 2021 & 2022.

There is still hope for two more players to be recognized by their conference: Kayla Duran at USC and Brooke Ahern at the PAC-12. The PAC-12 has not yet announced their All-Conference teams.
