Our FC Stars boys teams had a successful time at ECNL South Carolina, combining to go 7-1-1 in our first boys showcase event of the year. 

FC Stars sent three ECNL National Boys teams to South Carolina: our U16, U17, and U19 teams. Our U16 and U17 teams finished with perfect 3-0-0 records while our U19 team settled for a 1-1-1 finish. Complete weekend results are listed below. 

U16 Boys

• 2-1 vs Ohio Elite
• 1-0 vs Kings Hammer
• 1-0 vs Atlanta Fire United

U17 Boys

• 3-0 vs Chattanooga Red Wolves
• 4-3 vs Kings Hammer
• 3-0 vs Ohio Elite

U19 Boys

• 1-0 vs Kings Hammer
• 0-0 vs GSA
• 1-2 vs Charlotte Independence

The event also saw FC Stars Boys Goalkeeping Coach Zack Abu-Glass represent the club during the ECNL Boys National Selection Game. Coach Zack worked on the coaching staff in the “all-star game” featuring the best players and coaches at the showcase. 

Overall, the showcase featured 199 teams and had over 200 college scouts in attendance. It is the second ECNL Showcase event the club has gone to. Earlier this year, our U13 and U14 teams in both our FC Stars Blue & FC Stars White programs attended ECNL Indiana. 

January serves as a busy month for the club in relation to ECNL showcase events. We’ll have six ECNL Girls teams each at ECNL Florida and ECNL RL Florida. Later in the month, our U17 & U19 teams will attend ECNL Florida while our ECNL Regional teams of the same ages will attend ECNL RL Florida.
