FC Stars Soccer Complex powered by Emerson Hospital
FC Stars held it's 2nd Annual 24 Hour Soccer-Thon on Friday, October 21st, 2016. It's been a huge success despite the weather, we want to thank everyone who donated, participated and volunteered.
FC Stars would like thank everyone who braved the crazy New England weather to volunteer or participate in this year's 24h Soccer-Thon, especially those who came out in the cold early hours to show their continued support.
Thank you to all the players and families who supported the event by fundraising and donating. Your generous efforts partly support the FC Stars financial aid program, but most importantly, our partner for the event - AccesSportAmerica. AccesSportAmerica Athletes enjoyed the adaptive games on Saturday morning alongside many FC Stars Players and Coaches.
FC Stars is delighted to announce that the FC Stars 2nd Annual Soccer-Thon raised nearly $40,000, a 25% increase over last year's event! This event has been a phenomenal hit over the past two years raising $70,000.
Director of Coaching, Jason Dewhurst added "Our Soccer-Thon was a huge success. Events like this demonstrate time and time again what a great family FC Stars is. Players, parents, coaches and staff came out and participated in crazy, adverse, wet weather with nothing but smiles on their faces. It was for great causes and I am proud to be the DOC of such a great club."
As we start making plans for Soccer-Thon 2017, we welcome your feedback - please email Alan Goggs, firstname.lastname@example.org with any suggestions or ideas on how we can continue to make this event thrive.
